Malta is strewn with sites and features of historical and cultural importance which often fall by the wayside due to a lack of interest from the general public. This blog has been set up as a means by which I can record my own personal observations on the various places I visit, but also with the aim of encouraging the reader to actively engage with Malta’s heritage. So go ahead and peruse my collection of musings, while keeping in mind that nothing will ever beat a visit to the real thing.

June, 2014, Malta.

Disclaimer: I have written this article as a member of the general public who has a passion for Maltese history and museums. That being said, I am aware that Heritage Malta is woefully underfunded, and to make matters worse, I am told that their budget has been reduced by 60% over the past 10 years. This article does not address the issues underlying the actual museum exhibitions, but only gives an account of my personal experience during the afternoon I spent at the museum.
